The relationship between culture is a very complex and fascinating topic but before I discuss the topic, I'll like to give a brief discription on the subjects communication and culture

Culture is the social behavior and norms found in the society.

Culture could be based on shared ethnicity, gender, customs, values or even objects. Some culture place significant values in things such as ceremonial artifacts, jewelry or even clothing. For example, Christmas trees can be considered as a ceremonial or cultural object.(Wikipedia.org)

On the other hand communication(from the Latin word commūnicāre meaning to share) is the act of conveying meaning from one entity or group to another through the use of mutually understood signals, symbols and semiotic rules, the main steps inherent to all communication are; the formation of communication, motivation or reason(Wikipedia.org)

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CULTURE AND COMMUNICATION

The relationship between culture and communication is very complex and fascinating as cultures are created through communication; I.e communication is the means of human interaction through which cultural characteristics- whether customs, roles, rues, rituals, laws or other patterns- are created and shared (encyclopedia.bank.org) this however doesn't mean humans set out to create a culture when they  interact in groups and societies, but rather that cultures are a natural by-product of social interaction. In this sense communication is the life and preservative of culture as without communication it would be impossible to preserve and pass along cultural characteristics from one generation to another generation, in other words one can say culture is created, shaped, transmitted and learnt through communication. But also complexly reverse is the case as communication practices are largely created shaped and transmitted by culture.
